The Angel Team is our 24 hour emergency team. Delivering critical help, day or night, when Calgarians and their pets need it most. Offering emergency safekeeping, transport, and supplies during moments of crisis - including inclement weather, housing instability, domestic violence, and complex situations involving emergency responders.
Since launching, Parachutes for Pets has seen demand surge—from 30–40 monthly cases pre-pandemic to upward of 350–400 per month today. That means emergencies are more frequent, from wildfire evacuations to medical crises - and timely Angel Team support is essential.

The Angel Team exists to support urgent, emergency situations only. This includes crisis response for domestic violence, housing instability, medical emergencies, and cases involving emergency services like CPS.
It does not cover non-emergency requests such as:
• Pet food hamper pickups
• Routine vet care
• Transportation to scheduled appointments
• Boarding for travel or vacation
