SAFEKEEPING

This program, supported by Calgary Flames defenceman Mackenzie Weegar and his family, helps pets stay safe and healthy while their families navigate difficult times.

Through our safekeeping program, animals are cared for at our facility while their families face

challenges such as medical emergencies, domestic violence, or periods of housing insecurity.

Pets in our care receive a safe place to stay, daily enrichment, and plenty of love until they can

be reunited with their families.

We also provide preventive veterinary care—including exams, vaccines, and spay/neuter procedures—for animals currently staying in our facility, helping them stay healthy and ready to return home.
