At Parachutes For Pets, we’re dedicated to helping low-income individuals improve their pets’ health and well-being. Our accessible programs make a difference.

Pet Food Bank

No one should have to choose between feeding themselves or their pet. Our Pet Food Bank provides hampers of food and essential supplies to pet owners experiencing financial hardship — helping families stay together through tough times. Support is available for up to two pets per household, with responsible pet ownership encouraged.

Safekeeping

Our safekeeping program provides short-term care for pets while their families face medical emergencies, domestic violence, or housing instability. Pets receive a safe place to stay, daily enrichment, and preventive vet care until they can be reunited with their families.
This program is available by professional referral only.

Grooming Assistance

Our Grooming Assistance program helps pet owners facing financial hardship access full grooming services — including baths, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning. While we do our best to support every pet, we are unable to provide grooming for animals that are extremely aggressive for the safety of our staff and your pet.

Parachutes for Pets is committed to transparency, accountability, and protecting our community from fraudulent activity.

We will never contact you unsolicited to ask for money via email, text message, direct message, or phone call.

All official fundraising initiatives, program fees, and donation requests will always be:

  • Clearly outlined through our official programs and documentation, and

  • Processed only through our verified platforms:

    • CanadaHelps

    • YouThriftyAnimal.ca

    • In person at a Parachutes for Pets facility or approved pop-up/event booth

Any legitimate communication from Parachutes for Pets staff will come from an official email address ending in @parachutesforpets.com. We do not use personal email addresses for organizational correspondence.

If you receive a message claiming to be from Parachutes for Pets that does not meet the above criteria, please consider it suspicious and do not engage. We encourage you to contact us directly through our official website or verified channels to confirm any communication.
